“A good portrait is a biography written in a single image.”
Hi, I’m Tashia
I photograph people who want portraits with substance. My approach is intentional, unhurried, and centered on real human presence. I pay attention to the details people often overlook, the way someone settles into themselves when they stop trying to get it right.
I’m not interested in stiff posing or manufactured expressions. I’m interested in who you are when the performance drops. Good portraits happen in that quiet space where a person is just being themselves, sometimes without realizing it. That is where the work feels honest.
I give direction when it’s helpful and step back when something real is unfolding. Most people walk in thinking they are not photogenic. That belief rarely survives the session. When the pace is slower and the environment feels grounded, people tend to surprise themselves.
